Welcome To Recovery

If your life is unmanageable and you are heavily dependent on alcohol or drugs to cope, we may be able to help.

We are a not-for-profit organization founded in 1977 by recovered women alcoholics. Step by step since then we have built the facilities, staff, and treatment methods to guide thousands of women to recover from severe life crises and become successful, functioning, members of their communities.

We operate two residential treatment facilities in the Carmichael/Fair Oaks area of Sacramento County. We welcome women from a broad spectrum of backgrounds, income levels, and severity of the addiction.

The "social model" of treatment is our preference. This means that we primarily focus on helping women develop practical day-to-day habits and relationship skills to lead meaningful, satisfying lives without alcohol or drugs. We encourage our women to become involved in 12 Step programs both while in residence and afterward.

Our Mission

Our primary mission is to offer comprehensive alcohol and other drug problem recovery services by providing opportunities and skills leading to healthy and productive life styles.

Women's Needs First

Women alcoholics and addicts often have special abuse histories and self-esteem issues which are best addressed in a gender specific environment.

A Residential Program

Our residential program supports women in developing positive 24-hour support networks where women cooperate, rather than compete, with each other. Here, sober living can become a habit and a rewarding way of life.
